Attractions and things to do
Being situated between Umhlanga and Durban you have the best of both worlds – the metropolis of Durban with its sports stadiums, casino, golf courses, beaches, UShaka marine world, harbour cruises and a whole lot more, whilst Umhlanga offers a smaller more relaxed beach atmosphere by day but is abuzz at night with an abundance of restaurants and pubs, and, of course the Gateway shopping and entertainment complex – claimed to be the largest in Africa. But KwaZulu Natal isn’t all about sea and shops.
If African game watching and South African history is your interest, within 45 minutes you can watch and learn about the Zulu dancing and culture, and just 2 to 3 hours away you can visit the KwaZulu Natal game parks featuring the Big 5, or take a tour to the Battlefields.
